Seems to be OK so far overall- almost 4 star rating I would say. More powerful of course than the 600-watt - 17 year old model we had. Takes getting used to that power-level #1 actually heats things up somewhat in one minute's time. Some negatives; - it is very light weighted and slides a bit too easy on the counter-top when opening/closing the door or pushing the buttons. The one real/main criticsm I have is that on the old model (circa 1990) - the 'start' and 'clear' buttons were separated from the rest of the buttons and down on the bottom of the panel - clearly defined. This new one - the start and clear buttons are in the middle of all the rest of the buttons and is hard for me to pickout unless I check the label names carefully each time. I thought after a month's time I would be able to find it easier - but no so far. They should have made the 'primary' buttons easier to find.Get more detail about Sharp R-230KK 800-Watt 4/5-Cubic-Foot Compact Microwave, Black.
